Pre-School Education
Pre-school education is important because it allows the child to begin learning about the world and the environment around it as well as the interaction skills needed for primary and secondary school relationships. Rainbow provides the best guidance for the children and ensures that each child will receive the very best attention.
Children feel better when they can join in and be a full part of the activities going on around them. We have lots of things to learn and play with including games to allow your children to develop a sense of high self worth and belonging.
Occasionally, children find it difficult to cope in a group. This could be due to shyness, anxiety, or perhaps simply a lack of understanding about what is expected. They may need a little extra support in order to participate fully in play situations we provide for them. Rainbow Pre-School staff are on hand to help new children become part of the group and a little extra attention is often all that is needed. It is a fact of life that some children need more help than others. If your child needs support, the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (often abbreviated to SENCO) in the Pre-School will work with you in order to help your child overcome his or her problem. In the event that you or SENCO conclude that your child has special needs, you will be reassured that Rainbow is available to help you and your child, offering the best support and advice.
